Week 1 - Week 7 Qaezie Ayeman Ramlan (0332981) Intercultural Design Instructions Lecture Notes Lecture 1_ Introduction to module Week 1 We were briefed by lecturers regarding the module and what it requires of us. The overall theme is Mythology. We are meant to investigate the myths and secrets of the place of visit and develop preliminary idea with the infusion of mythical influences in cultural perspectives. What are we going to do there? Why go there in the first place? Where exactly are we going? As students, we are embarking as tourist but also investigators to a foreign land with their own histories and ancient stories to tell. We are to observe and study the mythological influences to current and contemporary design through sociological and cultural perspectives. Why are data visualised as such? Go back to design principles to help the visualisation. FLIP presentations is about returning the learning with a 8 minute presentation. Condense the knowledge in 3-4 slides. Lecture 2_ L.A.T.C.H Week 2 Today we learned about Location, Alphabet, Time, Category and Hierarchy within an infographic.
