We learnt on the differences between print and screen. The purpose behind typography for print was to make reading easy for the people. When it came to typefaces on screen on the other hand, they would sometime have to be altered. This resulted open spacing within typefaces, which made the characters more recognisable. Typefaces that were used for screens at that time were Open Sans, Lato, Arial, Helvetica, Times New Roman, Times, Courier New, Courier, Verdana, Georgia, Palatino, Garamond. And all these typefaces are are called web-safe typefaces.
